Community Activities
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” – Psalms 133:1
Community Building at Lanesville Church
At Lanesville Church, we believe faith flourishes in community. From shared meals to shared play, we love creating opportunities for connection, laughter, and encouragement — both within our church family and with our neighbors across Cape Ann. Whether you’ve been here for years or are new to the area, you’re invited to join in any of our gatherings and make new friendships along the way.

Church Potluck
(Every 1st Sunday) Organized by the Deacons
Every first Sunday of the month, we gather for a potluck lunch following our worship service. It’s a time to share food, stories, and laughter as one big church family. Visitors are warmly invited — there’s always plenty to go around! Come hungry and leave with a full heart.
Pickleball Nights
(Every Friday @ 7pm)
Join us Friday evenings at 7 p.m. for a fun and friendly game of Pickleball in the Parish Hall gym. All skill levels are welcome! This is a relaxed, laughter-filled time to meet others, get moving, and enjoy fellowship in a casual setting. Equipment provided — just bring comfortable shoes and your best smile.

Men's Sports League
(Fall Basketball, Winter Floor Hockey, Summer Softball)
Sports are another way we connect and build friendships. Each fall (into winter) we host a men’s basketball league, and each winter (into spring) we transition to floor hockey. Come summer, we take it outdoors for softball as part of the North Shore Church Softball League. Join us for some healthy competition and great camaraderie!

Cove Night
(Annually in August)
A beloved August tradition, Cove Night brings our church and community together at Lanes Cove for pizza (provided by the church, conversation, swimming, (for those brave enough) jumping off the sea wall, and beautiful sunset views. It’s one of our favorite ways to celebrate summer — a simple evening of food, fun, and fellowship by the water.
