Energy for Growing in Christ
Thursday Evenings (starting October 15th), 6:00 to 7:30 pm
This October, right between the closing of Fall sports and the beginning of the holidays, we will be gathering together as a church community on Thursdays at Collide.
WHY?
As a church we believe strongly in two critical aspects of ongoing growth in Christ. First, to keep growing we have to study and think about the Bible together, determines what it means for our lives, in our context, and in our time. We really do want to know Christ, and the power of His resurrection. Second, we also grow in Christ by serving one another with love. Our church, and our world, will find renewal through minds changed by the gospel, and by us coming together to harness our resources for Christ’s mission on Cape Ann.
WHAT WILL COLLIDE LOOK LIKE?
There will be a quick meal for all of us in the middle of the week, from 6 to 6:30 and than concentrated time to engage in the growth above, in break-out groups for kids, for middle school youth group, and for adults. We will be done each Thursday night by 7:30 so kids, parents, and everyone in between, can rest from whatever else God has called us to, throughout the day. As Hosea 6:3 reminds us: “Let us know the Lord; let us press on to know Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”
