Join with Us

We are a covenantal church. That’s a big word that just means we believe God makes promises to us, and we thrive when we make promises back to God.
We regularly run an "Explore Lanesville" course, that introduces you to the church, tells you a little more about what we’re about it, and offers you the opportunity to join the church, should you so desire! Membership is your invitation to us, to care for you!

Christian Education

We are a community hungry to continue learning and to always be learning from each other. We invite you to share and use your knowledge to help everyone here benefit from your insight!

Lanesville hosts several adult Bible Studies each week, as well Youth Group for middle school and high school kids and programs for children on Sunday mornings during our worship service — nursery for the very little ones, Junior Church for ages 3 through grade 2, and Kids of the Kingdom for grades 3-6.

If truth — found in God's word as we wrestle with it together — matters to you, as it does to us, we invite you to join us! And if you have a burden for teaching and you are interested in joining our education team, let us know!

Adult Bible Studies

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the messenger of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”    - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Here at Lanesville, we are committed to the growth and transformation that comes when the Bible is taught and studied by both individuals, and by the community as a whole. Apart from the teaching that occurs during our Sunday Morning Worship, we offer several avenues through which this can occur. We hope that you can join us!

  • Men’s Bible Study – 7 am on Mondays

  • Pastor’s Bible Study – 9 am-10:30 am on Wednesdays

Youth Group (6th-12th Grade)

Our Junior/Senior High Youth Group ministry is dedicated to connecting each student with God, with each other, and with the world around them in order to bring the peace and love of Christ to everyone. The focus is on bible study, interactive games, and a time to share, sing and pray for one another.

Youth Group meets every Wednesday night from 7:00 – 8:30 (9:00 during the summer). This warm fellowship is a place for deepening friendships, fun activities, Bible study, worship and prayer. This group enjoys a number of special activities through the year, including pool parties, ski retreats, a trip to Canobie Lake Park, game nights and so on. Anyone in 6th-12th grade is welcome to join us!

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a free week of fun, filled with learning about God’s love for us, singing and dancing, playing games, making new friends, creating art, and more! The past few years have been difficult for everyone, including our kids, so we look forward to providing a place focused on bringing the joy and light of Jesus into their lives.

This year’s program will run August 4th thru 8th from 9am to 12pm, and is for kids ages 4 through 10 (those entering 5th grade in the fall). Our theme for the week will be “You Belong Here” — learning what it means to live in community together with God and one another!

Compassionate Care

One of the directions God gives his local church is to serve "the orphan, widow, and stranger," which symbolizes those caring for those in our community with the greatest unmet needs.

The Deacons offer practical help to those in need in a number of ways:

  • Connecting with available resources

  • Assisting with counseling

  • Helping with budgeting

  • Providing emotional and spiritual support

  • Extending financial aid

The Deacons distribute these charitable contributions from the church for those in need, irrespective of class or status.  We are always looking for more people with a passion to help serve the least of these.
